Jamie Lee Curtis and Ke Huy Quan Honored at 28th Annual SAG Awards for Supporting Roles

 




The Screen Actors Guild Awards, also known as the SAG Awards, honored Jamie Lee Curtis and Ke Huy Quan for their outstanding performances in supporting roles. The 28th annual ceremony was held on Sunday, February 27, 2022, and was broadcast on TNT and TBS.


Jamie Lee Curtis won the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role for her portrayal of Linda Drysdale in the movie "Knives Out 2." In her acceptance speech, Curtis expressed her gratitude for being able to work with the talented cast and crew of the movie, and also thanked her family and friends for their support throughout her career.


Ke Huy Quan won the award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for his role as Mr. Phan in the movie "Finding Ohana." Quan, who is best known for his role as Short Round in the movie "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom," gave a heartfelt acceptance speech in which he thanked his parents, his agent, and his fellow actors for their support.


The SAG Awards are considered one of the most prestigious awards in the entertainment industry and are voted on by members of the Screen Actors Guild. The awards recognize outstanding performances in both film and television, as well as stunt ensembles.


Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the ceremony was held in a hybrid format, with some presenters and winners appearing in person and others appearing remotely. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, the ceremony was a success, and the winners were celebrated for their outstanding contributions to the world of acting.
